In the picture below, I am wearing a digital wig and have also changed the background. Looking around—who is laughing? Hello, young lady. After wearing a digital wig, even in old age, it seems I still look just a few years older than you. So, no oldies or shorties, please. Anyway. I understand that including my selfie (which may not be entirely suitable for the page) on almost all pages might seem unusual. However, this is because first-time visitors often land on these pages directly from search engines. Some of them may want to know what the person behind the website—who built, manages, and runs it—looks like.
As for the pictures displayed on the pages, they are completely unaltered and exactly as captured by the camera—100% authentic. Occasionally, I do resize them to fit designated spaces, ensuring they look good across devices, from the smallest to the largest screens.

As I’ve mentioned before, I am not a professional photographer and have no formal training or knowledge in photography. However, since my website, www.nandverma.com, reaches a global audience and I always have a phone camera with me, I capture pictures whenever I find something interesting or beautiful. Over time, I’ve noticed that I seem to be improving at taking pictures—at least, that’s what I think. Of course, I can’t be sure how all of you out there feel about it.
As of now (until December 4, 2023), there are 20 pages available for you to enjoy. On most pages, there are 20 pictures displayed, but some pages may feature more than 20. The total number of pictures is approximately 450.
The maximum width of the pictures (from left to right) is 984 pixels (equivalent to 9.84 inches). For example, if your device’s screen width is 10 inches or more, all pictures should be displayed in their original size (width: 984 pixels = 9.84 inches; height varies). If your screen width is smaller, the pictures will be adjusted to a reduced size to fit your screen dimensions.
If you enjoy pictures by Mr. Nand L. Verma, feel free to browse and explore them!

On the pages below, the pictures were taken in the USA and India. In the USA, some were captured in Manhattan, New York; some in New Jersey; others in Upstate New York near the Canadian border; a few in Las Vegas; and the rest in Himachal Pradesh, India. On certain pages, some pictures were extracted from videos by Mr. Nand L. Verma.

Actually, I didn’t find anything extraordinary about the cities and towns in the USA, except that almost all the shops are very neat and clean compared to India. Besides this, sidewalks are everywhere. Before coming to the USA, I thought I would find everything very different. However, the cities have the same buildings, the same traffic problems, and the same crimes. Additionally, roads in the cities can’t be extended widthwise. Sometimes, there can be traffic jams lasting more than an hour while crossing the tunnel to New Jersey or returning to Manhattan. Altogether, it feels like a disaster, especially when managing just 8.5 million people across the five boroughs of New York City. That’s how I felt, but of course, not everyone has to agree with me.
One area of New York, not far from the Canadian border, experiences extreme winters. During this time, even seas, lakes, and rivers full of water can freeze solid for days or even months. It’s definitely not a good idea to wear comfy dresses in such weather. Otherwise, the body can go into hypothermia in no time. In winter, everyone has to cover their faces, leaving only their eyes exposed, especially if they need to walk or stay outside for even a few minutes.
Looking around—who’s laughing? Hello, it’s almost the end of April 2019, but inside rooms and houses, most people probably still need to keep the heat on to stay warm and comfortable. Meanwhile, in some parts of the world, people are boiling in the heat. If someone is feeling very hot without air conditioning or can’t afford one, they could look at snowy pictures—it might help them cool down a bit.
Humans and their physical structure are very sensitive. Therefore, I believe only reliable, affordable, or free electricity can solve all human problems. Let’s hope for the best—if my version of the electricity generator’s turbine works, it could make a difference. Otherwise, most people worldwide struggle to pay gas and electricity bills, whether to keep their homes comfortable or to cook food. Just look at the extensive digging required to supply gas through pipes or the forest of cables everywhere to deliver electricity door-to-door. And when humans need electricity the most, the supply chain often breaks down due to weather conditions.
If my ideas work, I might be forced to believe that all the sacrifices humans have made worldwide were for something worthwhile. But then, I wonder—how can someone claim to be religious or secular while denying basic amenities and facilities to most people locally, nationally, or globally? If someone is truly secular, why do people need their own countries for their own interests? Is religion and good karma meant only for the poor and middle class? Looking around the world, I’m not sure if that’s true.
Anyway, as always, politicians keep making speeches, promising that if you vote for their party, they’ll change everything. But how? By taking and giving loans? After 200 years of independence, democracy, and capitalism, most people still can’t afford health insurance that covers them from head to toe.
What? I heard something in a female voice. What did she say? “My beautiful, perfect legs and boobs are insured for $2 million.” Yeah, but your “whatever” isn’t. Still, some people make millions just by showcasing their “perfect whatever,” so insurance is a must. Can I have one sexy picture for free to put on my website? No? Kyonki agar ghodee ghaas se dosti karegi, toh khayegi kya? That’s true too. Anyway.
But look—throughout the whole winter while living in Las Vegas, I didn’t turn the heat on even once. Yet, I can see snow on top of a sandy mountain just approximately six miles away, sticking there for maybe the past three months. If I had tons of money, I might develop that mountain top into a residential and commercial real estate project. However, to make this a reality, I’d first need to bore a tunnel under the sandy mountain. Access to the mountain top would then be via an approximately three-kilometer-long elevator starting from inside the tunnel. All rights are reserved for this project idea, and I hope the soil can hold the buildings!
Otherwise, Las Vegas feels like a very small city compared to the cities where I’ve lived previously. Mumbling—I wish someone had planned roads without red lights. Anyway, who knows what’s going to happen tomorrow? As always, all humans can do is hope for the best.
This is actually my first time living in an area where you don’t see much greenery—no trees, no grass, and not much rain either. Sometimes, because of this, even the air stinks since nothing gets washed away from the ground. Otherwise, the weather is sunny and comfortable from October to maybe April. After that, the heat moves in. Still, Las Vegas can be a good place for people who don’t like snow, cold, or rain.
Let’s see if I can spare some time to take and upload pictures of Las Vegas. I’m sure the internet is full of them, but still—maybe I’ll contribute my own. Unfortunately, COVID suddenly kicked in, and we all know the aftermath of that. People were advised to stay indoors if they could afford to, at least for a year and a half. Otherwise, you were on your own. Mumbling—thank God the American government, one of the most powerful governments in the world, didn’t have to manage 1.5 billion people. That would have been a disaster. Yeah, just chaos everywhere.

About Pictures and Pictures by Mr. Nand L. Verma In addition to the pictures, as always, there’s some more to read as well. For now, I’ve kept this page brief.

Wherever people look, they often see pictures in various forms and mediums. In fact, whatever the human eye perceives, be it natural or structural, can also be seen as a kind of picture. This highlights the importance of our eyes—without them, all would be darkness. To ensure a lifetime of clear vision, avoid being negligent and take care of your eyes in every sense and form until your last breath. But why are humans so fascinated by pictures, whether they depict objects, subjects, animals, nature, people, or anything else? Even I am not entirely sure.
Before the advent of smartphones with built-in cameras, photography was more of a profession, hobby, or luxury for those who could afford it. Cameras required film, and developing that film into photographs on photo paper came with additional costs. Back then, not everyone could take pictures themselves due to these expenses. In fact, before the start of the 21st century, owning a camera was far less common than it is today. By December 2014, the affordability and accessibility of cameras, especially in smartphones, marked a significant change.
In earlier times, photography as a hobby or a means of preserving memories was considered a luxury. Sometimes, it feels as though money governs everything, while the rest is mere fiction. This is a thought I wish to remind people of, especially during their formative years, so they can reflect on these truths early. Waiting until after retirement to understand such realities may be too late.
Before the Internet and the advent of digital technologies, most people worldwide could only view pictures published in magazines, books, and posters. The options for distributing and accessing pictures were very limited too. As a result, the emotional impact of seeing something depicted in a picture could be profound, especially if it was something beyond one’s imagination—even if it existed within the same state, country, or planet. These feelings might have been akin to heavenly pleasure. For those who could afford to hang such pictures on their walls, the experience must have been deeply gratifying—and perhaps, even today, some may find the same charm in that experience.
Moreover, before computers, smartphones, and the Internet existed, seeing a picture could inspire people to strive for something better. If someone saw an image of something more beautiful or advanced than their own home, surroundings, or lifestyle, their curiosity might be piqued. Such curiosity could lead to exploration and, perhaps, a deeper search for the truth, purpose, quality, and real meaning of life, along with aspirations for a particular standard of living.
Sadly, it seems that some local, state, and central governments today still construct or replicate projects that developed countries completed 50, 70, or even 100 years ago, wasting taxpayers’ money in the process. These governments often appear to act as puppets of foreign administrations, lacking original thought or vision.
In the era of the Internet, even uploading pictures can represent a country’s economic standing and future. If a country’s images depict slums, it sends a global message about its prospects, influencing foreign investors to focus on pharmaceutical stocks that export medicine to that country. Additionally, most medical equipment and machines often need to be imported, highlighting economic dependencies.
Governments and systems should focus on building infrastructure that accommodates the future for at least 100 years. Only then can a perfect picture of progress emerge. Such efforts today could lead to a purified civilization—one that is prosperous and peaceful, rather than jealous, criminal, egoistic, or violent. Can all these changes stem from simply looking at pictures? Why not? Pictures have the power to inspire curiosity, exploration, and reflection.
However, the rapid technological advancements in capturing, publishing, and distributing images worldwide have also brought challenges. Hackers may record and sell content illegally on the Internet, raising concerns about privacy and security. If someone’s pictures end up on inappropriate websites, it becomes crucial to determine whether they are real or fake. If they are real and the individual is unaware, it could indicate a serious violation, such as someone being harmed or exploited while unconscious.

Sometimes, people may manipulate images by pasting someone’s head onto a porn star’s body for amusement. I hope such pictures aren’t posted on inappropriate websites. Be cautious, especially if you live with strangers in world-class cities but can’t afford private housing for yourself and your family. How grim and unpleasant can this picture of real life become? While there may not be an invasion of privacy in real life, concerns about privacy on the Internet are growing.
Although videos offer a more immersive experience, pictures still hold their ground to some extent. These days, anyone can take a picture and manipulate it into something unrealistic, which might seem trivial. However, it ultimately depends on the individual’s choice and purpose for acquiring and viewing pictures. Manipulating human images to an unrealistic extent is not ideal. Yet, some people don’t leave their homes without makeup in real life, which is also a form of unrealism. Most pictures are taken with makeup, adding another layer of artificiality.
Manipulating pictures for official purposes is illegal and punishable by law worldwide. While using hair dye might be acceptable, discrepancies in eye or skin color on official documents can cause issues. Even pictures taken by government cameras may not always accurately reflect someone’s appearance. This could lead to unusual and negligent situations, such as law enforcement questioning discrepancies in eye color between an ID or passport and reality. The complications this might cause at airports or during international travel are significant. In some countries, such discrepancies could even result in lawsuits, with taxpayers ultimately bearing the cost of settlements. Sometimes, when I look at my own pictures, I feel as though I’m seeing someone entirely different. Especially when comparing my selfies with the pictures taken by government cameras and captured by government employees for official IDs, it feels as though something is wrong—or even fishy—going on here. Anyway, sooner of later I will find out the truth.
As I mentioned earlier, I’m not a professional or trained photographer, but whenever I had a camera, I used to take pictures for fun. Now that I have a camera on my phone and access to the Internet, taking and uploading pictures is no longer an issue. It doesn’t require extra money, neither to capture nor to upload them. Besides now I ihave a website: nandverma.com Though, sometimes resizing images properly can be a bit of a hassle before posting them online.
I read somewhere on the Internet that someone sold a single picture for five or six million dollars—wow, that’s a huge amount of money for a picture! Nowadays, many people seem to be making a living by taking photographs or sharing their pictures on the World Wide Web for free. Since uploading pictures only requires a camera, computer, and Internet—or just a phone with both—it’s much more accessible now. If someone downloads one of your pictures or others view it online, there’s a chance that you might get paid.
Additionally, if someone is exceptionally handsome, cute, or beautiful from head to toe, they might even get hired for a job where money flows in effortlessly! What? I said, before 2010, you didn’t have the option to display your pictures for the world to see. Yeah. And by the time I started to realize that for a particular kind of job, if the employer didn’t see me face-to-face, they assumed I was too old. Even in a country like the USA, where discriminating against anyone based on their age is illegal, it’s still true that if employers want to stay in business, the good physical appearance of their employees is often considered important.
Yeah, money, money, money—it’s always about money and nothing else. But still when it comes to the world wide web I guess it depends on where the pictures are being displayed. One thing is certain, though—it’s not going to be easy to sell anything, including pictures. Because every second, millions of pictures are uploaded to the world wide web from worldwide. Maybe someday, every person in the world will have their own website in some form. Therefore, even now, getting noticed on the worldwide web has become extremely complicated and complex. So, it’s safe to say that not everyone can make money from their products, including pictures. But at the same time, wherever humans are involved, good creations, talent, innovation, brilliance, or any kind of product will always remain in demand.
So, as the saying goes, life is a constant struggle. Most, if not all, humans keep trying for something until their last breath. Whether it’s a hobby or an attempt to make good money, people mostly just try their best. It doesn’t matter where or in what circumstances they are living. As long as money remains the ultimate God or Goddess and rules the world, certain things may never change—either around us or within humans.
I hope original pictures will continue to hold their value and demand as they once did. After all, every now and then, we all need a chance to refresh our memories of the past by looking at pictures. What? I said, especially in old age, when physical beauty has completely deteriorated. Yeah. At that stage, older people have plenty of time to reflect and remember many thing by looking at some of their pictures. Even married couples don’t pass away at the same time. So, in old age, one may have to survive alone, which must be very difficult. But then again, I’m used to it. Therefore, there isn’t much left to remember or regret. Perhaps that means less pain in old age. What? I’m asking, if you become a billionaire or trillionaire (worth in US dollars) before turning 70 and live until the age of 100, wouldn’t that change many things, even in old age? Well, in that case, for me, even old age would become an entirely new concept altogether.
Otherwise, nowadays, people send and share their pictures for free on the internet every single day. They share them with admirers, lovers, friends, families, relatives, or simply to get noticed worldwide within a minute—regardless of where in the world they live. And if not that, then it’s “hey, let’s have a video chat” or something similar. One thing is certain: the internet is not only rapidly changing and revolutionizing everything around humans on Earth but also transforming what lies within them as well. What? I said, let’s see if everything constructed and seen by the citizens of Earth will stay afloat or eventually end up near the Earth’s core. Yeah. But one thing is certain—getting recycled is not going to be a joyous or amusing ride. Anyway, as long as humans continue to thrive and Mother Earth remains inhabitable, let’s cherish the pictures by Mr. Nand L. Verma. I mean, if you like them.
