If I understood everything correctly, then below it says that if someone wants to buy one advertisement space for a month on www.nandverma.com, the price should be $20,000 USD per month. So, for example, with the ranking of 8,000 if I have 10,000 advertisement spaces on a website across 500 pages: $20,000 USD × 10,000 = $200,000,000 USD. That’s 200 million USD per month. Which means 200 million USD × 12 = 2.4 billion USD yearly. Even in old age, having that kind of money is not bad at all.

Hey, I’m advertising your product worldwide, so it doesn’t matter whether someone clicks on the ad or not. Well, well, well… now I’m going to take this seriously instead of just doing something for fun and timepass.

What? I said, now you have to be careful of people. Even if, so far, you haven’t made a penny. Anyway, thanks for alerting me. Yeah, some of the jealous ones may faint. Good—let those people faint and stay in deep sleep until the time they become non jealous.

Looking around, who is laughing? Hello, please be serious.

Because some people, when they see someone making good or very good money, only see the money—without even trying to understand the kind of effort and hard work that goes into the work which eventually allows someone to earn a decent living or become rich.

What? I said, in your case, the money still has to show up in your bank account. Yeah, that’s right. And by that time, I might turn 100 years old but still look 21. Not bad—if someone is 100 but everything from head to toe not only looks 21 but functions like it too!

Actually, Netcraft is some kind of cybersecurity-related website based in London, England, so I just installed their free extension in my laptop’s browser to stay safe from phishing websites as well as phishing attacks. I have no idea how the whole thing works in relation to website rankings. But since Netcraft is a cybersecurity company, I didn’t hesitate to install their browser extension. Besides this, I still hope that in a country like England, there are fewer companies—or hopefully none at all—that commit all kinds of scams and frauds. I was reading somewhere that when India was under British rule, there was an army colonel in charge of bringing the train to Shimla, Himachal Pradesh. Apparently, the tunnel construction went off track and didn’t meet at the intended point. The colonel was so ashamed that he ended up taking his own life. Well, he shouldn’t have done that, but maybe that’s part of why the British not only ruled so many countries for so long but also whatever they built in many countries still standing still. Anyway. Now even in UK things doesn’t look Good.

Yeah, still not sure if they offer a free extension for phones too.

Otherwise, when it comes to privacy, no one is tracking individual personal IP addresses. What gets tracked is the IP address assigned by your Internet Service Provider (ISP), which reflects broader traffic patterns based on geographic location. If I’m not mistaken, a single IP address can represent millions of users across a neighborhood, town, city, or even a state or country. However, if someone is involved in criminal activity, investigation agencies do have the legal right to obtain information from ISPs. This can include phone numbers, addresses, and email IDs linked to the connection. But before police or investigative agencies are allowed to track someone online or request such data, they must have a court order. Without one, there’s a risk that law enforcement could misuse their power.

So, if you’re not doing anything illegal, there’s really no need to worry about your privacy being invaded. For website owners like me (Mr. Nand L Verma), it’s important to know the exact number of visitors and views in order to sell advertising space. Only with accurate statistics can we afford to keep some—or all—of the content freely available for anyone around the world to view, read, or listen to.

Since both the government and citizens benefit from taxation—and everything within a country exists because of the diverse people living in it—governments should provide legal rights to website owners. After all, visitors to a particular website might be gaining real value, which could benefit not only themselves but also their countries, governments, the wider world, and contribute to a better version of humanity as a whole. Got it? Yeah. Good. And if anyone feels they’ve received meaningful value for free at www.nandverma.com or nandverma.com doing something good to make this world a better place or just feel like donating they’re welcome to donate as much as they wish.

Well, well, well—while the total number of visitors, visits, and views may not be huge, I still believe it’s decent for a website like www.nandverma.com. Since advertisements on each page are manually uploaded, every visitor from all these countries should be able to see them. Advertisers should be quite pleased with that! I’m not sure how many other websites on the internet can guarantee that their ads are visible to global audiences 24/7.

Honestly, I never expected visitors from 25 to 35 countries—but I’m grateful to each and every one of them. Thank you to all the visitors from around the world!

It means some of the people worldwide really like whatever I have chosen for them on the basis of my own choice. Yeah, otherwise most of the time get wasted to find the right or according to Earthly Human’s choices. Whether someone just trying to pass the time, to entertain themselves or looking for something which can be somehow beneficial too, to correct or perfect something.

Of course—when people across the globe collectively strive to correct and perfect things for themselves and their children, the wrong and imperfect elements of society begin to fade away naturally, without conflict, violence, or war. What I’m saying is: sooner or later, the money currently spent on defense and security could be redirected toward eliminating poverty and illiteracy. Yes, that’s right. Instead of sacrificing lives, we could save them—and those very lives, once saved, could go on to make a real and meaningful difference.

Well, that’s the hope. Let’s see how far humanity can go.

Otherwise, if all forms of conflict and war become part of a business model, then it suggests that Earth is either ruled by corrupt or incapable leaders—or that 99% of humanity has veered away from its true, compassionate potential. In such a scenario, even the inventions that could have transformed Earth into a paradise for everyone become meaningless.

First of all, I would like to thank you for stopping by to learn how the website www.nandverma.com started. Although some other websites may have begun under similar circumstances, in my case, it was quite different. Building a website—or websites—was never my profession, and until February 2007, I had absolutely no familiarity with the process of creating one. Even though I had been using desktop and laptop computers since 1997 or 1998.

As far as I can remember, it was a very cold month—February 2007—and I was sharing a house with other roommates in Bellrose, New York, USA. At that time, I had no job and no money either, though I believe some funds were available through credit cards. And if you’re not paying your share of the rent and other expenses on time, sometimes you may have to hear unpleasant things from your roommates. Yes, in such cases, there’s no sympathy—even if someone is your relative, friend, or from your own country.

Looking around—who’s laughing? Hello, please be serious. Because most of the time, all kinds of love, relations, and relationships may exist because of money, for money, and by money. Therefore, knowing, accepting, and implementing the truth before the age of 14 can help a lot to live a life fully or better. What? I said, otherwise knowing few things in old age is not good at all. Yeah. No, I am just kidding, because except robots all the people may not be the same.

Generally, most Indian people living in the USA may not consider an amount like $2,000 to $5,000 as particularly significant—especially if it’s owed by someone they’ve known for a long time. When trust exists, the assumption is simple: whenever that person has the means, they’ll pay it back.

But life isn’t always that straightforward. Sometimes, you never know what else might be going on behind the scenes. There could be other motives—whether it’s creating certain circumstances for someone or taking advantage of them when they’re vulnerable. Well, so far, I’ve never liked people who get involved in certain things to take revenge or gain advantage when you’re financially down or at minus 70 degrees Fahrenheit. Even if such people are my own.

But in the end, everything comes down to the same question: how did someone end up in such circumstances while living in one of the richest and most powerful countries in the world? Well, it’s a long story too. Even now, in my older age, I’m still trying to figure out whether I kept choosing the wrong people—or if somehow the wrong people kept getting involved in my life to ruin me financially. Otherwise, hey, everyone has their own financial liabilities to fulfill. If someone can’t afford to help others, that’s perfectly fine.

What? I heard something in a female voice—yeah, I’m asking, is that you in the picture? Hello? Yes, and for your kind information, I took that selfie in September 2022. And if you want to see the selfie I took in 2024 where I’m wearing a digital wig, I’m displaying it below just for you.

This is how I’m going to look after the hair implant. Yeah, then you and I can look like we’re the same age—even if, in 2025, you’re 48 years younger than me. Looking around, who is laughing? Hello, please be serious.

Mumbling… I hope I keep getting younger instead of older.

What? I said, maybe the creators of humans realized that something very unfair happened to Mr. Nand L Verma—or that we need Mr. Nand L Verma alive and young on Earth to save… whatever. Hey, then just reverse Mr. Nand L Verma’s age or freeze the cells in him that make people old. Especially if, in old age, I (Mr. Nand Lal Verma) become a billionaire or trillionaire after converting assets in US dollars.

(Otherwise, I came to know on the world wide web that their billion of trillion buy only loaf of bread) What? I said (in hindi and Urdy), “Ghalib dil ko behlaney ke liye yeh khayal achha hai, warna ek paaown zameen pe aur doosra qabar mein phansa hai. Karay bhee to kaya karay ae Nand, zameenai 72 (1000 bhee ho saktee hai) whoray (heavenly beautiful females) kahatee, tasvir to kahti hai Nand kachhi omar ka bachha hai. Augar bhudapai mai bhee her bhook jawanee jaisee rehay, to wo insaan karmo se achha hai” Looking around, who is laughing? Please, be serious. Otherwise, one day—except for immortals—everyone has to die. So who cares. Otherwise, as long as humans are alive, they have to keep trying to live their lives fully, while also keeping themselves mentally and physically healthy. Anyway.

So, in my case—as usual—even while financially not being in a very good situation or circumstances, even while living in the USA, I still thought of creating a website. Because at least one or some of my credit cards—or whatever kind of cards—were still working.

Back in 2007, I’m not sure about others, but I didn’t have internet on my phone, even though one of them I bought for almost US $300 in Jamaica, USA. Looking around—who’s laughing? Yeah, I am laughing, because I thought Jamaica is a different country. Yeah, but in the USA, you’ll find many towns or neighborhoods named Jamaica, Africa, Holland, Little India, Chinatown, and more with similar names. Nowadays, everyone knows about Black neighborhoods, white neighborhoods, and neighborhoods of people of color in the USA. After learning about all this and so many other things, I sometimes ask myself: Am I really living in the USA? Before I came here—without access to the World Wide Web—there was no way for me to know about the darker side of USA.

Maybe in the future, the USA will become a place where all countries are represented in one location. And after that—well, everyone knows what could happen. What? I said, it’s good for democratic capitalism, as long as all kinds of conflicts and wars between Earthly humans don’t come to an end. Anyway, so far, I haven’t been able to figure out anything about the USA or the plans of the people in Washington.

Back in 2007, I was living with many roomates in the Bellerose, New York, USA in a house, and I had an HP laptop running Windows XP. It worked well and I still have it, but for some reason, once I returned to India, it refused to start. It was perfectly fine before I left the USA, so I’m not sure what happened during the journey. That laptop holds most of the art and designs I created, which are displayed on my website: www.nandverma.com.

To start building a website, I needed internet access. So, after taking a permission from the landlord, I managed to afford an internet connection and a landline phone. In February or March 2007, the installation cost me over $100 to get all the cables set up in my room from outside. After that, I paid around $35 per month for unlimited internet and a landline. I even repurposed one of the dining chairs as a worktable for my laptop.

Through the internet, I learned that to make a website, the first step is registering a domain name. I understood it as being similar to naming and addressing a house—once you own it, no one else in the world can use the same name or buy it. I mean as long as domain name is getting renewed timely. I was somewhat familiar with this process because, before opening an Indian restaurant in Brookline, Massachusetts, my business partners and I had to go through a similar naming procedure.

The key difference is that a domain name is registered worldwide, unlike naming something within a specific village, town, city, state, or country. Since websites are accessible globally, having multiple websites with the same domain name would create confusion. To keep ownership, I had to renew the domain name before it expired or within a month after expiration. If not, it would return to the public domain and become available for others to purchase. Anyway, worldwide not many people want to name their website nandverma for sure.

Every page address on the website starts after the domain name. That’s what I was able to figure out at the time. I also discovered that some people make a business out of finding and registering domain names—some of which can fetch impressive prices. It’s fascinating how, once you dig deeper into anything related to making money independently, you uncover a hidden world your own circle might not even mention—even if they know about it. Yeah, to me this is really sad—especially when your own people don’t want you to be financially successful to the point where, in every sense and meaning, you live better than they do. Maybe I felt that way because I’ve always believed that if someone in your family, friend circle, community, village, town, city, or country becomes extremely wealthy, it can definitely be beneficial to you in many ways.

AdSpaceFAD4atPage1About:nandverma.com Where we try to provide you best in the world.

I realized very late in life that, when it comes to making money, the reality can be brutal. Because most of the times—even your own or your own people may want to keep you poor. It seems that 99% of humanity, including those closest to you, may seek control over your life by keeping you financially dependent.

So yes, in truth, all kinds of relationships—be it love, family, or friendship—often revolve around money, assets, and luxury. Understanding this fact as early as possible is crucial. Why? Because grasping it in old age is of no help. Looking around, who is laughing. Hello, young lady, you better be serious right now. Anyway.

At one point, I was thinking hard about what to name my website. That’s when I came up with nandverma.com—a name that includes part of my own name and the familiar .com ending. When I write my full name in English, it includes a middle name, though in Hindi, that middle name often merges with the first name. What? I said, your middle name seems to be very flectuate and independent, yeah that is for sure.

Otherwise, navigating the digital world comes with its own set of absurdities—especially if you were born before 2000, or even 2010, depending on where you’re from. One moment, digital records might say you’ve passed away. Another moment, they claim you’ve been living in the USA, Afghanistan, UK, China, or Europe since December 2021—anywhere but India. Honestly, are you kidding me?

Of course, I made up that part about living in multiple countries at once—but in reality, these glitches happen to many people. According to some digital records, I’ve apparently lived in dozens of towns, cities, and even countries I’ve never even heard of—let alone lived in. So yes, welcome to the chaos of the digital world.

So, back in 2007, on my first attempt, the domain nandverma.com was available to purchase. Not many Indian people, I think, have the courage—or maybe the intention—to name a website after themselves, especially if it’s not a personal site. What? I said, otherwise even people working in legal, illegal or scam call centers in India often go by names like Fred or Freddy, even if their actual names are Krishna or Rama. I’m not entirely sure about this, but based on videos I’ve seen on the internet, it does seem to be true. Soon, a population in India equal to that of the USA may catch up with British, American, Canadian, and Australian accents when speaking English. Don’t worry—at least I’ll still be able to figure it out within a minute.

If I’m not mistaken, back in 2007, Yahoo was not only a well-known and trusted company, but it also offered web hosting along with a free site builder for creating websites. At that time, Yahoo was reportedly worth around $100 billion USD.

Soon after, I learned that I needed a web hosting server—somewhere to store the website I built on my local computer. That server needed to be online 24/7 so that people across the world could access my site anytime. I had no choice but to pay Yahoo extra to host my website on their server. And as long as credit cards were working… well, I just kept putting more money on them. Actually, in 2007, the total yearly cost for my domain name, web hosting, internet, and phone was probably less than what many people in the USA would spend in a week or month on alcohol, smoking, or sex. But if you’re not earning any money, even $100 a month can feel unaffordable. Still, that’s how economies grow—another chapter entirely.

Eventually, I logged into Yahoo’s web hosting control panel and downloaded their offline website builder onto my computer like any other application. That part was a game-changer: I didn’t have to rely on sluggish internet to build my site and its content. Everything moved quickly on my computer, and the process felt more private, confidential, and secure.

After all that, I was finally ready to build my website, www.nandverma.com, on my own. And whenever I didn’t understand something or got stuck, Yahoo offered 24/7 technical support—for free—while I was living in the USA. Still, you needed not just time, but also the mental and physical well-being to navigate everything.

Well, well, well… as soon as I opened Yahoo’s site builder, all kinds of nightmares began. Honestly, the same issues seem to persist even in 2023 with computers and software. So I still wonder: is something wrong with me, the people at tech companies, governments, the system itself—or maybe even the gods and goddesses?

For some of us, the journey of life—especially when it comes to making a living—can be incredibly unpredictable and unusual. According to my understanding, if someone gets a government job, they often stick with it for life. But if someone has a little money, they can invest it in many things without leaving their room. Yes, there’s always a risk of losing money, but many people earn well from their investments too.

As for me, I grew up on a small family-owned farm in a very small village in Himachal, India, doing all kinds of farm work—completely unaware of how money could be invested. Looking back, I see that lack of financial education as a form of discrimination, and even a violation of equal rights and the right to information. So, later in life I asked myself—education about what, exactly? Even now, I’m not sure. I attended a nearby government-run primary and high school while growing up and working on the farm. Yet, I still didn’t learn much about how the world truly works. Honestly, the schools didn’t teach many things they absolutely should have taught.

AdSpaceFAD5atPage1About:nandverma.com Where we try to provide you best in the world.

After high school, I had to move to a nearby city for college. But I didn’t complete it. Soon after, I found myself in some of India’s largest cities. Why? To live a better life. To find a job and earn as much money as I could. Even then, I didn’t enjoy much about life in those cities—too crowded, too chaotic, too many crimes. But it wasn’t about what I liked or didn’t like. It was about survival. It was about earning.

Even now, in old age, not much has changed—except for one thing. I now have the chance to build a website, something I truly want to do for myself. That part feels meaningful.

Otherwise, let’s be honest: without the basics in life, we earthly humans are treated as nobodies, as if we’re worthless. And in that kind of situation, if someone is completely naive—like I was when it came to making money and understanding how the world works—then life is bound to get complicated sooner or later.

After completing my diploma and job training, I somehow ended up working at one of India’s five-star super deluxe hotels. And wow—what a wake-up call. It hit me hard: life is all about money. With enough of it, you can live like in heaven, even here on Earth.

No joke, while working ib five-star super deluxe hotel in India there I saw not only some of the most stunning women I’ve ever laid eyes on but also people staying in hotel spending a kind of money in a day or within an hour I make yearly. So, I relized let’s be real—if you don’t have money, traveling abroad or affording the kind of luxury you see in these hotels is impossible. Even building a home with a touch of that elegance becomes nearly impossible. And sure, it might seem like without wealth, even people including some of the women—don’t take notice. Just kidding, not all women are like that. Some truly value character over cash. Really?

Still, in truth, if someone falls into the poor, working poor and struggling middle-class bracket, there’s no shame in dreaming big—or even finding a wealthy partner. Why not live a little? Have some fun. Fall in love. Maybe even start a family. Life’s full of twists, and sometimes the boldest leaps lead to the biggest smiles.

In today’s internet age, everyone knows how it’s possible to live a luxurious life on Earth if you have enough money. Back between 1980 and 1990, starting a job at a five-star super deluxe hotel in India wasn’t bad. But deep inside, I wasn’t truly happy or satisfied. I had no other choice but to do whatever work was assigned, while trying to save some money.

Though I started learning English from Class 6, I never spoke it daily. Even now, I don’t feel perfect in any language. But while working at the hotel, I had no option—had to try my best to speak English. After working there for around six years, I quit the job to do something on my own. That was around 1989. To start anything independently back then, I needed about ₹600,000 (6 lakhs). But earning that in India from my hotel job would have taken 10–15 years. So, while living in New Delhi, I set a goal: earn that money in one year. That’s how I ended up in the USA instead of New Zealand or Australia.

In the US, I worked for $4 an hour (less than minimum wage, no overtime). Still, I managed to save the amount I needed within 1–2 years. But life in America wasn’t easy. I didn’t just land there from the sky with a parachute—I was just joking, once someone asked me how you Mr. Nand L. Verma came to USA. Yeah, in USA, I didn’t know who was who—was that person an undercover immigration officer, FBI, CIA, or someone from another agency? Co-workers or roommates could be anyone. And some were bullies too. You had to be careful—because getting arrested or pulled into illegal activities like selling drugs is no way to survive.

After arriving in USA, it took me 6–7 years to fix all the immigration issues, and another 3 years to get a green card. And let me tell you—that green card cost me more than anything else in terms of time, money, and losing a legal restaurant business. I mean not because trying to get a green card but during that time. In 1996 I was involved in a restaurant partnership. By the time 2000 I had hopes of making at least around $2 million USD from my share and then retiring from must have any kind of job and work. But as always, things didn’t go as planned, and I legally lost everything. But one more time after failing in busness because of the partners still, I somehow managed to survive even in the USA too.

I told to myself, hello, Mr. Nand L Verma it’s 2007, and despite working hard and honestly for so many years in the USA, you’re still living below the poverty line. Because of those financial struggles, I never had the courage to get married. I saw too many people putting up with all kinds of stress and mistreatment at work—just because they had children or families to support. Therefore, they must keep the job. But in my case, if I didn’t like something at work, I would quit—or my employer would say, “Don’t come in tomorrow,” and I’d be fine with that. So, if under such situation you have a little savings, you at least have the option to do something on your computer after leaving a job. Otherwise, forget it.

While living in the USA, I probably worked in 30 different places over 15 years. But I never felt sad or bad about quitting or getting fired. You hear about people who lose their jobs and end up going on violent rampages—and it’s scary. Working in America can be terrifying at times. You never know when someone might show up with a gun—whether to steal money, because of racism, out of anger, or simply for no reason at all.

AdSpaceFAD6atPage1About:nandverma.com Where we try to provide you best in the world.

Although during my time working in the USA, I never had to deal with anyone showing me a gun—at least not at work—I was still threatened on occasion. I believe there was one instance where I had to call the police due to a problem with customers. Many times, I faced verbal abuse and all kinds of threats over the phone. People would yell things like, “Hey, go back to your f****** country, you f****** Indians.” A few times, while working near the Canadian border, someone even called me a terrorist over the phone.

So, if someone is emotionally sensitive, they might want to reconsider working in certain places—even in the USA.

That said, I’ve always moved forward in life by believing that whatever happens, happens for a reason—and maybe even for the good. There’s no point in getting mad, sad, or losing your mind after quitting or getting fired from a job. Honestly, nothing is easy to do, even in the USA, despite what some people might think or be led to believe. At least, that’s how I see it.

So what the hell—try building a website in February or March of 2007. Because when you don’t have a job or money but still have a room, food, Internet and computer, even staying at home or inside your room isn’t easy either. Watching TV for hours and surfing the world wide web every day is not easy either, especially when most of the times on the TV it’s the same repetitive nonsense or crap as far as I can remember, just doesn’t work—at least not for me.

And if you go out, you’re almost guaranteed to spend $10, $20, $30, or even $50. But I found computers and software really fascinating. So for me, even as a bachelor, passing time at home was never a problem. I never got addicted to sex, alcohol, or any kind of drugs either. Let’s be honest—everyone knows where most of the time and money tends to go when people try to “live life to the fullest.” I mean, after a certain age, there’s nothing wrong with having sex, as long as you can afford it and stay out of trouble. But even that kind of opportunity doesn’t come around very often. Because most of the sexual affairs sooner or later can create very serious problems as well. Otherwise, in a country like the USA, casual sex isn’t taken very seriously by many people, nor is it typically seen as a guaranteed path to a committed relationship. It’s more like, “Hey, if that’s what you’re looking for, and we’re both on the same page, let’s have some fun—once, twice, or for a while.” It’s often based on mutual understanding, without the pressure of future expectations.

Back in 2007, I downloaded Yahoo’s free website builder and started experimenting with it—figuring out how to create navigation bars and web pages. But I quickly hit a major roadblock: there was no way to organize pages into folders. I thought, How am I supposed to find anything if I end up with 1,000 or even 10,000 loose pages scattered across the builder? Ideally, I wanted something like: “If you’re looking for Art and Designs by Mr. Nand L Verma, go to the Art and Designs folder, then find his name under the People folder, and finally access the relevant pages.” Simple. Logical. But Yahoo’s builder didn’t support that.

So I called Yahoo free tech support. At first, they flat-out said it was impossible. But then someone asked me to give them some time to check with others. I waited. Eventually, I got a call back: Good news—you can now create folders in the website builder. That was a huge relief. I felt ready to build my site: www.nandverma.com What I didn’t know was that the real nightmare was just beginning. I wasn’t just trying to make a few web pages—that part was easy and could be done in 15 to 30 minutes. I wanted to build a fully customized website, something that looked professional and organized, with different sections for art, lyrics, and life stories. But doing that with Yahoo’s website builder turned out to be much harder than I expected.

From March 2007 to sometime in 2008, I kept working on the site while also writing Journey of Life Volume 1, 100 Lyrics for You Volume 1, and Art and Designs by Mr. Nand L Verma. But despite all the effort, I couldn’t make any money from it. Eventually, I had to face reality: I needed a paying job before my roommates or landlord handed me an eviction notice. By then, all my credit cards were maxed out, and I was staring at a $40,000 debt—with interest rates as high as 28%.

To put it in perspective: even if you only borrow $15,000, missing payments can cause your interest rate to jump from 0% to 28% overnight. That kind of rate can turn $15,000 into $40,000 in just a few years. It was brutal. At the time, Mr. George W. Bush was still president, and in November 2008, Mr. Barack Obama was elected with Joe Biden as vice president. But while the country was changing, I was drowning in debt. No good. So, for me, those presidents felt more like, “Hey, let’s watch Mr. Nand L. Verma sink into debt.” But as always, I wasn’t going down without a fight. Sometimes, it feels like debt traps are created on purpose—so that people lose their valuables, either for free or for pennies on the dollar. And in some cases, immigrants from some of the countries including from India might bring everything they have from their home country to the USA, hoping to take revenge or settle scores.

Although, I didn’t know of any close family members, relatives, or people from my hometown living in the U.S., but still—you never know. That’s when I started to feel like something wasn’t right. As they say in Hindi: Kutta kutai ka bairey (even a dog can turn against its own kind). Yeah, I started to smell something fishy.

Well, I started a job and somehow managed to clear almost $19,000 in credit card debt within a year and a half. I made an offer to the credit card companies, suggesting they could either accept $10 or $30 a month, or a one-time payment of the actual amount owed—without interest. Of course, they agreed to the one-time payment right away. I’m not entirely sure whether the settled amount was less or more than what I actually owed without interest, but it got resolved. After that, I called the IRS and told them that I had made $25,000 USD in cash that year, but I wouldn’t be able to pay taxes on it. They asked why. I explained that I had paid $19,000 USD to settle a debt of approximately $40,000, and another $6,000 to cover rent and bills. Someone at the IRS said, “I’ll make a note of that.”

At the same time, I started feeling a bit suspicious about a few things. You never know if there was anything valuable on the websites: nandverma.com, sitting in my laptop or desktop or got stolen—the ones I had been using since 1997 or 1998 to 2008. Especially if some of the people not only want to keep you in the category of poor, below the poverty line, working poor and struggling middle class by pennies on the dollar. Althoug, I was sure that 90% real Americans don’t do that therefore, someone should be from India.

So, as I wrote above sometimes, certain financial situations may be created on purpose to trap people—so others can take their valuables for free or for pennies on the dollar. So it’s important to be careful about these tactics, mafia-like mentalities, or illegal business practices. But as always, I’m not someone who goes down easily.

Yes, things like this can happen even while living in the USA. Otherwise, if everything had gone well with my restaurant business in partnership between 1996 and 2000, life could have been completely different. Especially if I had earned around $3 million during that time, I might have done something big in computers, software, phones, and the digital market. Because if in restaurant business everything goes well, making that much money in 4 years by each partners shouldn’t be a big deal.

So, in the U.S., if someone owns a good restaurant with 130 seats and a full bar—and knows how to run it well—then making $5 to $6 million a year after expenses isn’t impossible. But those who work in restaurants and hotels know how many things go wrong every day—especially in the kitchens. If there are 130 people sitting in a restaurant, most of the staff in the kitchen or on the floor often have no idea what they’re doing. It’s chaos.

Honestly, I’ve seen similar confusion in the tech industry too, ever since I bought my first desktop back in 1997 or 1998. Just look at Yahoo—from being worth $100 billion to dropping to just $2 billion. Otherwise, if having right people on the top, by 2023, yahoo should have been valued at $10 trillion. But understanding the truth about the corporate world isn’t easy either.

That’s why this time, I’ve chosen to stay solo—without taking money from investors. Whether I make $0, millions, billions, or even trillions, at least I won’t regret getting financially screwed by someone else again.

As far as I remember, from May 2008 to November 2015, the homepage of my website www.nandverma.com looked something like this as displayed below. Because somehow I was able to hold on a domain name nandverma.com

AdSpaceFAD8atPage1About:nandverma.com Where we try to provide you best in the world.

Yeah, the display above in the from of image wasn’t created by me but by Yahoo, because my version of the website wasn’t active on the internet. Since my domain was registered with Yahoo, they were running their version of the website under my domain.

To the best of my knowledge and recollection, I reactivated my website—www.nandverma.com—around the end of 2014, after being offline for more than six years. Fortunately, I was able to retain the domain name during that time, even though the site itself wasn’t live.

Honestly, from 2007 to 2019, things weren’t good for me in any sense—financially, emotionally, or professionally. Even before that, life had its challenges, but those years were particularly tough.

After 2009, smartphones with internet access started becoming mainstream, which added more complexity for website owners like me. But I didn’t give up, even though I didn’t earn a single penny from the website: nandverma.com and didn’t have much money to invest in building it.

The version I built using Yahoo’s website builder worked fine on phones when held horizontally. But when held vertically, the text would shrink drastically, requiring users to zoom in—which I didn’t like at all. Since coding wasn’t required with Yahoo’s builder, I kept trying to find a way to create a mobile-friendly version of the site. Eventually, I believe I created a phone-optimized version of the website sometime in 2017. I even found a screenshot of it on the Wayback Machine, which was captured on January 3, 2018.

Actually, I was satisfied with the phone version of my website only after I managed to make the homepage (as shown in the screenshot) and all other pages display properly on phones with a maximum width of 300 pixels (about 3 inches). After that, everything worked better than ever—except the phone version pages didn’t always open in their original width, even on phones with screens wider than 3 inches. But that was fixable.

Of course, having two versions of the website doubled the data size, which sometimes meant higher costs. But I had no choice. I know it involved a lot of copying and pasting, some technical issues, and even a complete crash of the website builder, site, or hardware at one point. Still, it wasn’t a big deal for me—I had gotten used to starting everything from scratch.

Since 1997, my body, eyes, and ears have held up well against the heavy workload of working with computers. Because when I am not doing a kind of work and job which pays, I’ve spent 12 to 14 hours a day, 7 days a week, for months or even years sitting in a not even on work chair and table— but still my body and I’ve managed just fine to stay aflot.

By 2018, I thought I was finally done with the layout of the website, making it fit perfectly on almost every device for the convenience of viewers and advertisers. But as always, the nightmare wasn’t over. Sometime in 2021, I received a message in my Yahoo control panel saying I would no longer be able to edit or publish my website www.nandverma.com using the Yahoo website builder—the same tool I had used to build the entire site. My only option was to rebuild the site using WordPress or another builder of my choice.

When I asked Yahoo why, they said it was because the site wasn’t phone-friendly, among other reasons. But I was thinking, Hey, my website is working fine—I even made two versions of it. All I needed to do was fix a small issue so the phone version would open in its original width when someone held their phone vertically. Fixing that issue shouldn’t have been a big deal. But the people at Yahoo—or at least the ones I spoke to—completely refused to help. Honestly, I wasn’t happy with that answer at all. After that, I started thinking that democratic capitalism can sometimes feel worse than dictatorship and communisem, even in a country like the USA. Looking around, who is laughing? What? I said, may be internally they are one. Anyway.

I’m not sure if Yahoo had simply had enough of me, or if once again I chose the wrong people and the wrong product—or maybe there was something else going on. Otherwise, according to Netcraft, the worldwide ranking of my website, www.nandverma.com was once under 7,000. That kind of traffic should have been enough to earn some money. But if I couldn’t edit, update, or publish content, then I couldn’t monetize the site.

Around that time, COVID had already started spreading. Based on my calculations, I’m still owed approximately $32,000 in COVID-related financial help from the U.S. government. It felt like the perfect recipe to break me—many people were being evicted for not paying rent, and government aid often arrived too late. But somehow, even in one of the richest and most powerful countries in the world, I managed to keep my studio apartment by paying rent from my savings. I never took anything for free even during COVID. And I couldn’t help but think: Now who’s really cheap? Maybe the ones driving expensive cars while lining up for free food.

So to those raising children: please save enough money to survive for at least two years, instead of spending on things that don’t matter. In my case, living alone and staying in my room for months—only going out six or seven times a year, cooking and cleaning by myself—actually paid off during COVID. Othrerwise, everyone knows how many people struggled mentally just staying indoors for a month or a year, even if they could afford it. Hello, I cooked real food for lunch and dinner therefore, peanut butter with home made bread only for breakfast. Yeah, during COVID living in Las Vegas wasn’t that bad at least for me. What? I said, maybe during COVID they want you to be dead. Well, well, well some people die hard.

AdSpaceFAD9atPage1About:nandverma.com Where we try to provide you best in the world.

When it comes to getting money back during COVID or after reaching the retirement age of 62—based on what I paid while working—the nightmare with the U.S. government and their system still isn’t over. It’s been almost two years, and even in old age, I’m still waiting for my Social Security payments to be deposited into my bank account in India. (Actually I got my money after like 24 months).

Anyway, I’m not just surviving—I’m alive and healthy too. On top of that, my new website www.nandverma.com, built in WordPress, is officially live on the web.

What? I said, “That’s bad news for some people, for sure.” Because some people expected that Mr. Nand L. Verma wouldn’t manage to build a custom-made website: nandverma.com in WordPress —and might not even survive COVID. Well, well, well…death is still not in human hands. Many people can still be alive, even if someone tries to take them down. Anyway, that is different chapter.

Creating a fully customized website in WordPress from scratch took me about three months just to figure out how to organize all the pages in the dashboard under specific categories—without having a option of keeping them in folders. But in the end? Success.

Back in 2021, while living in Las Vegas, USA, I found myself wondering what to do next. Starting work in public still felt risky, but I was running out of savings. After all, $30,000 doesn’t last long in the U.S.—even if someone only eats breakfast, lunch, dinner, and has two cups of tea at home each day. And working 14 hours a day, seven days a week, on a kind of job that doesn’t pay? That’s a tough reality.

In the U.S., you won’t find many people who can live like that and still be normal, sober, and healthy in every sense of the word. Yeah, living that way some people may consider you “ the cheapest” person in USA—not truly living life at all. But taking free food from a food bank while driving an expensive car not get considerd cheap. Hello. So I came to realize that most American people aren’t saying or doing enough to break free from the grips of poverty, whether it’s being below the poverty line, poor, working poor, or part of the struggling middle class. What makes it more unsettling is that almost everyone knows their tax money—money they work hard for—is being spent in billions and trillions on other countries. Because most people living in the USA work incredibly hard—often harder than those in the countries their money gets sent to. Whether it’s supporting a war, building infrastructure, or just helping others survive, that money comes from everyday Americans who are grinding day and night. What? I said, where your COVID help went? Maybe to scammers. It’s no wonder frustration brews when people feel ignored at home while massive aid flows elsewhere.

Back in February 2021, I was ready to fly to India—COVID or not. I’d checked my passport and thought it was valid until September 2021. But thanks to the differences in date formats between the USA and India, I got it wrong. In the U.S., they write the date as Month/Day/Year, but in India, it’s Day/Month/Year. Turns out my passport expired in February, not September. Oops. But still, I assumed being an Indian passport holder meant I could fly back to India—even if it was expired. Nope. Airlines don’t care if you’re a citizen; they won’t let you board with an expired passport. So now I had to renew it.

Normally, that wouldn’t be a big deal. But in Las Vegas, there’s no Indian Embassy. And during COVID, no embassies were open to the public anyway. The old passport renewal process was suspended. Everything had to be done online I thought, “Cool, everything from my room. That’s how tech is supposed to work, right?” Wrong. I had to leave my house during COVID to take a passport photo. Then I needed to get documents notarized. And yes—I had to print everything I’d completed online to send it by mail. So much for ‘digital convenience.’ What?

Meanwhile, still embassies were closed in the name of safety because of COVID. Yet I still had to go out in public multiple times, exposing myself to risk, just to send paperwork to the Indian Embassy in San Francisco. And guess what? They mailed everything back the first time because something was wrong or missing.

I didn’t have a printer at home. That wasn’t the government’s problem. “Buy one,” they said—even though it cost $120 and I didn’t receive any financial help during the pandemic. It felt like the message was: “We’re the government, and you’re just a green card holder or Indian citizen. If you can’t follow these hoops, then too bad.” Honestly, that experience made me feel invisible. Like nobody cared. Like I didn’t matter, so get effected with COVID and die. Because I had to go out in public many many times.

That digital “paper-free” system and get everything done form home online really pissed me off. If I had the authority to suspend licenses, I would’ve definitely suspended all the licenses of the companies that created these so-called online systems. Eventually—after multiple tries, frustration, and risking my health—I got my renewed passport. But I’ll never forget how needlessly difficult the process was, especially during a global crisis.

During that time, I couldn’t work on my website, www.nandverma.com, because I wasn’t able to edit or publish anything. Before that, I had updated all the text on the site—originally built using Yahoo’s Website Builder—to a larger font, probably size 25, to improve readability.

But now, I can’t rebuild the site from scratch until I find a website builder that creates responsive designs—ones that adapt to any screen size, on any device. That’s essential.

Initially, someone from Yahoo assured me: “Don’t worry, we’ll migrate or rebuild your website for free.” That gave me hope. But, as always, new demands and restrictions popped up. Suddenly, it wasn’t so simple. I wanted to build the site my way, for many valid reasons—even if they thought their method was “the best.”

AdSpaceFAD10atPage1About:nandverma.com Where we try to provide you best in the world.

Then they asked me for money—which was fine. But first, I expected them to show me how the newly built website and its pages would look. Instead, they demanded payment upfront. Most of these people rely entirely on pre-made templates to build websites. But I didn’t want anything readymade.

My website concept and page layouts are completely different from what’s out there, so I had to customize nearly everything again from scratch. That was the end of my dealings with Yahoo and their team or Aabaco. Still, yahoo continued to host my site as long as I paid the web hosting fees.

While in Las Vegas, USA, I received an urgent call from my former employer in New York—he needed someone immediately for work. I explained that I had already paid $6,000 in advance to my landlord. He assured me that he would reimburse that amount. But considering the ongoing threat of armed robberies and the lingering effects of COVID, I chose not to return.

Instead, I decided to visit India—it had been quite a while. With fewer travel restrictions in place, I began searching for the cheapest flight from Las Vegas to New Delhi and eventually booked one online.

Little did I know, an unexpected nightmare was waiting at the airport. Although I’d managed to avoid such experiences in previous travels. But still during transit I saw exhausted travelers and children sleeping on the airport floors—even within domestic terminals in the USA. And of course, there were the usual hurdles: stringent security checks, flight cancellations, missing luggage, and the requirement to arrive hours before departure. It seems like some people in charge of certain countries have turned “security” into an all-purpose tool—security for this, security for that, security everywhere. Whether it’s to sell a product, create a job, or keep one, “security” is the big excuse. But then, what is the use of being among the best in the world—educated and technologically advanced—if the world is still ruled by the dumbest? Hello.
