As the foundation of the website is built upon my knowledge, experience, and judgment, I expect it to remain afloat. However, gaining attention as an unknown individual in the digital space is not easy, especially for someone who has crossed a certain age. Even after turning 70, I hope to overcome the limitations of old age, particularly in terms of physical appearance. To achieve this, I plan to exercise a little each day, undergo necessary dental work, and even get a hair transplant. Looking around, who is laughing? Yeah, I am laughing because, in one of your selfies where you are wearing a digital wig, you look like you’re 23 years old to me. Thanks. Although yet, I am not in full form in my old age in terms of looking younger.
But what does physical appearance have to do with attracting advertisers? I heard a female voice ask this question. Well, aside from the presence of beautiful women in the world, advertisers might want assurance regarding the mental and physical health as well as physical appearance of a person running a website alone. Otherwise, while I used to work in some of the restaurants and room service in India and USA, I used to receive 15 to 20% tip on the total bill—mumbling, not bad if restaurant and room service is busy. Anyway, life has moved forward, though it often feels like I’m dealing with the same situations and the same kinds of people all over again. But one thing is certain—after the advent of the Internet, even people like me had the opportunity for self-improvement. Otherwise, when the Internet wasn’t as widely available as it is today, it was nearly impossible for someone like me to piece together so many jigsaw puzzles related to life, humanity, religions, spirituality, governments, laws, government systems, and both good and corrupt politics.
I realized very late in life that almost everything and everyone in the world may mislead you—whether directly or indirectly—for their own benefit or profit. Ideally, I should have understood or someone should have taught me this much before the age of 14. What? I said otherwise, in the era of the Internet and world wide web, look at how many selfies and videos women from around the world upload every day—not just to attract a specific kind of traffic to a website but possibly to earn money as well. In that case, misleading someone becomes impossible, because it’s purely about physical beauty and, sometimes, taking off clothes—even in the comfort of one’s own room—to make money. Yeah, and this business may never fail, ever. That is right, because over time, everything seems to return to the same pattern of whatever. Actually, I feel good that women of all ages worldwide have the opportunity to showcase their talent and brilliance as well as physical beauty to the world and, because of the same, earn their own money.
So, imagine what could happen if this old man starts looking like a 21-year-old within six months—with, what do they call it? Yeah, a six-pack or maybe just a four-pack. But my concern isn’t about having a six-pack or too many muscles—I’m more worried about my brain ending up the same way! Looking around… Who’s laughing? Hello, be serious, please! I’ve noticed that after building too much muscle in any part of the body, things tend to get a little stiff. And believe me, no one wants that happening to their brain.
Okay, don’t take everything I say too seriously—some times I have slight doubts about, but they aren’t medically or scientifically proven.
What? I’m asking—what does any of this have to do with advertisers? Well, maybe some advertisers are like schoolgirls, still impressed by action heroes in movies, even if none of the action is real. No, I’m serious—advertisers might also take into consideration the overall personality and character of an individual like me. Especially when everything turns into a one-man show.
Otherwise, even in old age I’m quite comfortable with my physique. Maybe I just need to do some light exercise to increase my stamina and improve my facial appearance. My weight is now 73 kilograms (in 2021) instead of 48 (untill 1992). Besides that, I’m a good cook too. So, if I become wealthy, people might want to know what I eat and cook. I’m also working on some new recipes. Mumbling… But still, I need a particular kind of kitchen before I start making cooking videos. Okay, I can provide solid proof of my date of birth in case someone still thinks I’m in my twenties or thirties. Hello, back then, (in 2021) I was 62! Mumbling… I’ve been waiting for my Social Security for the last 10 months while in India (I received after 24 months).
Although, while living in the USA—before getting my Green Card and even during its renewals—I think I was fingerprinted and photographed many times. On top of that, almost all workplaces and streets are packed with security or surveillance cameras. Before issuing a work permit or Green Card, authorities conduct blood tests, medical test and drug tests as well. Additionally, most employers in the USA require a drug test before hiring someone for any job. Besides, I think pulling out a hair with the root from someone’s head or a blood test can medically determine certain things—like whether a person is addicted to any drugs. Because I remember, before getting hired at one of the very big hotels in the USA, the human resources department pulled a hair from my head. Mumbling… I hope, sooner or later, that same hair doesn’t end up at a crime scene. Looking around, who is laughing? Please, be serious—especially after realizing the truth that, most of the time, everything in the form of all kinds of criems seems to happen due to all kinds of well-thought-out and planned organized crimes, either directly or indirectly.

What? I said, otherwise, everyone knows the risks of having someone under the influence while on the job. Looking around… Has anyone worked and lived with people who were addicted to drugs or alcoholics? No? Good. Otherrwise, I’m sure that, every once in a while, people have to deal with customers who are either high on something or a little tipsy. What? I said, and in some of the hotels and motels housekeeping staff occasionally have to clean up vomit from the floor or bed as well as used syringes for drugs—that’s for sure. Therefore, working in room service is much better than housekeeping, unless someone can’t find a room to deliver the order while carrying a tray that feels way too heavy on their shoulder. What? I said, by the time got back to the room service kitchen with undelivered order, someone from heard to toe was soaked in sweat like hell. Yeah, it’s a very hot and humid day in Bombay—now Mumbai. Hello, is the air conditioning on? Otherwise, it’s way too hot in here, especially for someone from the hills like me. Thinking back to my job training days at one of the best hotels in India… Back then, I was completely and totally stupid. But still, everything felt more exciting, even when watching short silent movies.
Mumbling… Even if I disliked the job, working in room service was still better than being in a small family owned restaurant. What? I said, unless, as a straight male room service server, someone finds a female guest or gay male unexpectedly naked in their room—hoping for whatever. Yeah, sometimes, even wealthy or extremely rich individuals can be quite strange. Unfortunately, workers have to deal with all kinds of situations. Because if an employee were to file a lawsuit against a customer for inappropriate behavior, they might struggle to get hired again. But if they received at least a million-dollar settlement, that wouldn’t be too bad either.
What? I said, if a pretty female guest is naked in her room while a straight male room service server is delivering food, then—at least for you—that would be totally fine, right? Of course. In that case at least for me, no harassment issues, at least for me. I mean if female is totally perfect from head to toe. After that even I can write a song on her. Please, don’t laugh.
I think while working in room service in Five star hotels, I’ve had a few incidents where some very beautiful women were either naked or nearly naked but still called me into their room with food. Maybe in their country, it’s not a big deal—or I still have no idea. So, even as a room service server, one has to develop thick skin when it comes to maintaining full control over certain situations.
The reason I’m writing all this here is that I don’t think this particular kind of experience—whether in building or selling something on the World Wide Web— may don’t come handy or is documented somewhere. What? I said, otherwise working as a butler in some of the best five star hotels may not be a bad job at all, especially if your wealthy customers are generous tippers. Growing crops in such conditions is challenging, and these farmers and horticulturists will never be able to compete in price with those who rely on the latest technologies and machines. Because whatever 1,000 laborers can accomplish in a day in agriculture and horticulture, the latest technologies and machines may be able to complete in just half an hour with only one or two people. Because, when I first built and designed www.nandverma.com back in 2007, smartphones were either in their early stages or not particularly advanced. I remember spending around $300 to buy a small flip phone in Jamaica, New York. At that time, I never imagined creating a mobile version of the website—mainly because I had no experience in building websites. However, I somehow managed to create a few pages for the computer version. After a few months, I had to take the website down from the internet.
Then, around 2013 or 2014, while sitting in the basement of my room, something came over me—I uploaded the site again from an old laptop or pen drive and republished it. Once again, www.nandverma.com was live on the World Wide Web. By that time if I am not wrong, smartphones were getting smarter, featuring larger screens and improved internet access. While working on the computer version of the website, another challenge arose: the design didn’t fit properly on phone screens. Even though some content resized automatically, certain for example advertisements, originally designed for the computer version, did not adjust the way I wanted them to on mobile screens.
Besides, if holding the phone horizontally made text in font size 14 unreadable unless zooming, but I kept wondering how to make www.nandverma.com fit perfectly on every phone, along with mobile-friendly ads. After struggling for a while, I finally developed a phone-compatible format. However, in the process, all the website content once or twice either disappeared or displayed incorrectly—likely due to a failed update. Imagine the time it would have taken to manually reorganize everything or rebuild the entire site! But later I sucessfully built a phone vesrsion of the website as well in by using Aabaco sitbuilder. Through this experience, I realized as well that rather than being a great coder or programmer, understanding the concept of design is even more important. If you have a clear design vision, a coder can write the code without charging a fortune. To this day, I still don’t know anything about coding. This doesn’t mean programmers aren’t valuable—of course, they are! But AI or whatever in a sitebuilder is increasingly capable of handling coding tasks. Even programmers need a structured layout before they begin writing code in a computer language. Therefore, I think designing a website, connecting all its pages, and organizing diverse content requires knowledge about thousands of things if not millions—especially for sites with multiple content categories.
